This beautiful bowl is handmade from organic jute fibre which has been twisted and stitched into shape, it is embellished with a scattering of recycled sari fabric. Jute is a strong natural fibre with significant environmental benefits as it consumes carbon dioxide, it is 100% biodegradable, renewable and is sustainably harvested. Handmade by skilled artisans working with Dhaka Handicrafts, one of our fair trade partners in Bangladesh.

The skilled artisans of Dhaka Handicrafts use abundant local natural resources to create for themselves and their next generations a future to be proud of. Actively engaging in training around gender equality issues and women’s leadership complements the sustainable and reliable income that supports their families and communities.
