This set of 6 worry dolls live in their own hand woven bag. Worry dolls come from a Guatemalan legend, where if children tell one worry to each doll and place them under their pillow when they go to bed at night, the dolls will have taken their worries away by the morning. These worry dolls are handcrafted using scrap textiles from other products made by artisans at Upavim, our fair trade partner in Guatemala. As the bags are assorted colours it is luck of the draw as to which colour you receive.
Who made my product?
UPAVIM is a cooperative of women who are turning around the lives of their families and their communities. Establishing a successful business in the community, generating good quality education for children and role models for the next generation, the women of UPAVIM have used the production of handicrafts to overcome the pressures of living in migrant settlement villages in Guatemala City.
