🧺 Let’s Talk “Create a Basket / Ship Later”

Create a Basket has been a much-loved option for our community over the years, especially for those who shop with us regularly or join our live sales.

As our Boho whānau has grown, this service now takes extra time, care, space, and admin behind the scenes to manage properly — and we’ve also seen increasing confusion at checkout when this option is selected by mistake.

To keep Create a Basket running smoothly, fairly, and sustainably, we’ve made a few small updates.

Here’s how it works 💫


💫 What is Create a Basket / Ship Later?

Create a Basket allows you to combine multiple orders into one shipment, helping you save on shipping by sending everything together when you’re ready.

It’s perfect if you:
• shop with us regularly
• join live sales
• prefer to ship items together rather than one by one


💫 Starting a basket (one-off)

To begin using Create a Basket, please purchase our:

🧺 Create a Basket / Ship Later – One-off Fee ($5)

This one-off fee helps cover:
• the time involved in preparing and holding your items
• storage space while your basket grows
• ongoing admin and follow-ups
• and helps prevent accidental basket selections at checkout

This is not a shipping charge and only needs to be purchased once per basket.

Create a Basket – Fee & Inactive Baskets
To keep things fair for all customers, Create a Basket orders must remain active. The $5 basket fee is required to keep your basket open.
If your basket becomes inactive (including unpaid basket fees or no communication), we reserve the right to close your basket without further notice. This will involve deducting the basket fee and the cost of shipping in product, and sending the remaining items to the most recent address on file.


💫 Adding to your basket

When placing orders you’d like added to your basket:

  1. Shop as normal

  2. At checkout, choose 🧺 Create a Basket / Ship Later
    • You’ll notice a $0.01 charge — this simply allows our checkout system to recognise that your order is being held to ship later
    • This is not your shipping cost

  3. In your cart notes, please write:
    “Add to my basket”

Your order will be prepared and safely held until you’re ready to ship.


💫 When you’re ready for your basket to ship

When you’re ready for everything to be sent:

  1. Place your final order

  2. In your cart notes, write:
    “Ship my basket”

  3. Choose the shipping option that suits you best — Standard, Rural, or Signature — and complete checkout as normal

⚠️ The cart note is essential. If no instruction is left, your basket will simply continue.


💫 Basket time limits & reminders

• Baskets can remain open for up to 12 months from the first order
• If a basket is inactive at 11 months, we’ll be in touch with a reminder
• A final reminder is sent shortly before the 12-month mark

If we don’t hear back, we’ll resolve the basket by shipping the order, deducting product to cover shipping costs (to the nearest value), or issuing store credit / cost recovery depending on the basket contents.

Any store credit issued must be used within 6 months.


💫 Chose Create a Basket by mistake or want it shipped early?

If you selected Create a Basket / Ship Later by mistake, or you’d like your basket sent sooner:

  1. Go to our website and search “Shipping”

  2. Purchase the shipping option that suits you:
    • Standard
    • Rural
    • Standard with Signature
    • Rural with Signature

  3. In your cart notes, include your previous order number and let us know whether you’d like your order shipped or combined.

Please note:
• Create a Basket / Ship Later is not a free shipping option
• Shipping must be purchased separately if this option is chosen in error
• We’re unable to refund orders where shipping wasn’t selected correctly


💫 Important to know

• Messages, emails, and social media are not linked to our order system
• All basket and shipping instructions must be added via the cart notes
• Orders are final once placed

Create a Basket exists to make shopping more flexible and accessible, but it does require extra handling and care on our end.

We kindly ask that all communication remains respectful. Unkind or abusive messages will not be responded to.
